North Shore Inline Marathon

Maurice's brother and niece were in Duluth this weekend for the North Shore Inline Marathon.  They've been coming to this for several years so we can get a mini family gathering every year.  Mark & Ann came out to our house on Friday and Penny & Buck (Maurice's sister and brother-in-law) also came up.  We visited and went for a pontoon ride on the lake and then sat on the deck for more visiting and some wine.  We tried to ichat with Joel, Pia and Noah who are in Australia visiting friends, but we were unable to connect.  We just did some instant messaging instead.  When Mark & Ann said they'd have a second glass of wine, both requesting just a little, I being the half glass full kind of person I gave them almost a full glass.  They said if they did poorly it was going to be my fault.  I said if they did well, I would take full credit.  They both did very well so my pre-race wine training program was a success.  Kelli and the girls came up Friday night and we went to watch the race on Saturday morning.  Ann had a 6a start time so she had completed her race before we got there but we did see Mark come in.  We intended to go to brunch with them and their friends and have a mimosa, but as we were waiting for the elevator (alligator to Molly), Kelli felt a warm sensation on her upper body.  Meagan totally soaked through her diaper and Kelli's shirt.  Since Kelli didn't have a change of clothes along for herself, didn't feel like sitting through brunch smelling like pee and the girls were a bit cranky, we decided it would be best to skip the brunch and head home.  We said our goodbyes and hope to get together again before next year's marathon.
