OK I guess it's time for Christmas decorating

Over the years I have come to dislike decorating for Christmas.  It's such a hassle to put things out for 30 days or less, and I refuse to decorate for Christmas before Thanksgiving.  Since turkey day is later this year, I will push myself to start working on it tomorrow.  I really enjoy decorating for fall, since I can put stuff out after Labor Day and keep it out for over 2 months.  I did take down some outside fall things today, but I'm apprehensive about the inside stuff.  The fall decorations are just right...not too cluttery.  If I put out all of the stuff we have for Christmas it's way too cluttered, so I've really cut back on what I put out.  I have several Dept 56 New England Village pieces, but finding the space to put them out in this house is a challenge.  Since no one was going to be here last year and we weren't sure how the dog would be around the tree, etc. I didn't put anything out.  This year the kids/grandkids will be here the day after Christmas for a few days, so I will decorate, but still not sure what I'll put out.  The other challenge is getting the decorations out of the crawl space...I need Carter and Molly to help...Grandpa and Nana's knees & backs aren't what they used to be.  The other challenge is the outside stuff since it's in the barn up high.  Oh well, I guess it's still better than the annual debacle of getting all of the stuff out of (and then eventually back into) the garage attic.  I know Kelli and Andrea both dearly miss those days!!!
