Our 2 day casino get away...

We decided to take a couple days off and do a little casino tour. So on Sunday we dropped Maggie off at the kennel in Moose Lake and headed off to our first stop at Grand Casino Hinckley. Started out with the Brunch Buffet and then played the slots for a bit. Didn't make any money there, so off to Wisconsin and our next stop at Hole in the Wall Casino in Danbury, WI. They had expanded the casino since we'd last been there, but decided to pass on going in as it was raining and we didn't want to get wet just to probably lose money. Drove to Hayward, WI and stopped at the LCO Casino. It was pretty crowded so we didn't stay very long. Just long enough for me to make a few bucks. It's a small casino but they have a really nice lounge area with live music. It looks like they have snowmobile trails leaving from there, so that may be a nice place to go this winter. Off to our last stop of the day, Bad River Casino outside of Ashland, WI. We got a room and our "play n' stay" coupons. We both did fairly well there since we had about the same amount of cash as we did when we left home, so that wasn't too bad. On Monday we drove up to Bayfield to check out the area. We were going to take the ferry over to Madeline Island, but the lines were pretty long. We tried to find a parking space close to the quaint shops so I could easily walk and check some out, but we couldn't find any. With the bum ankle, we decided to go back there later this summer or fall (it's only 2.5 hours away) when I can walk better. We stopped just outside of town at the Isle Vista Casino...this was our best stop as we now had more cash than when we left home. Our last stop was the Fond-du-Luth Casino in Duluth. It was way too smoky and the machines were not paying out so we left for home. Well that's it for our exciting 2 day get away.

Hi Sue! I saw your post on my blog - I feel bad because I'd have replied much sooner but you got me on the only five-day stretch of no blogging (I was canoeing). BUT the way I get pictures is pretty much the same way I put on pictures I've taken - you just need to find the image. I usually drag them to my desktop, and then upload them the same way as a photo. Hope this helps. Good luck!
